SUSD Hosts Elementary Schools Master Plan Community Meetings
WHAT: Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) is similar to many school districts facing uneven enrollment, excess capacity, aging facilities and future growth as neighborhoods evolve. SUSD families and community members are being asked to help shape our elementary school facilities to meet the changing needs of Scottsdale.

WHO:  Community members of SUSD

WHEN/WHERE:   Thursday, January 29 – Desert Mountain Learning Community
6 p.m. at Cheyenne Traditional School, 13636 N. 100th St., Scottsdale 85260

ADDITIONAL INFO:   Our schools are community assets. SUSD is seeking the values, priorities and input of its stakeholders to identify the criteria that our community deems important in the development of the elementary facilities master plan. The plan is being developed with a framework based on stakeholder feedback.
Best practices to be considered in addressing the issues faced are:
  • Health, safety, security and efficiency
  • Right-sizing schools to support enrollment and current teaching and learning methods
  • Consolidation and boundary adjustments
  • Proper spaces to support collaboration, project-based work, online assessments and community partnerships

Jan 19 - No School District Recess
Jan 29 - SUSD Master Plan Community Meeting at Cheyenne Traditional School
